NAME
ws-utils are a group of script utilities that belongs to WinShares and automates some administrative tasks.
SYNOPSIS
- ws-uninstall
-
This script uninstalls the package, and must be run by root. It also
changes sudoers to the configuration it had before installation.
It must not be used in rpm packages.
- ws-auto
- This is a script that only works in some linux
distributions. It may run in systems that use "gdm" (Gnome Desktop
Manager) to authenticate.
ws-auto on includes a line with ws -U on in /etc/gdm/PostLogin and a line with ws -f off in /etc/gdm/PostSession.
ws-auto off deletes the lines previously included in those files.
This enables users to automount cifs when they are logged in. But
first, the user must change ws.conf variable AUTO="yes". If AUTO="" or
AUTO="no" it disables automount for this user.
- ws-confsudo
-
This script allows to change /etc/sudoers enabling users to work with ws.
ws-confsudo on changes /etc/sudoers to allow all users to use mount, umount, mount.cifs and umount.cifs.
ws-confsudo off return /etc/sudoers to his configuration before being changed.
NOTES
You can do manually everything those scripts do. They exist only to make the tasks easy.
